Look how far I have come!!!

Every class has been a wonderful experience! I am truly a more educated and mature woman now! Writing is where I need the most help and college composition II has been very helpful. I have a pretty good understanding of APA and practice makes perfect! What I have learned this class is to watch how I write and watching out for wordy writing. I believe I have become a better writer. I still have a lot to learn but I am well on my way. Every new thing I learn helps me become more knowledgeable and successful. I would like to be the person people go to for help and advice. I especially want to be able to teach my daughter everything I know. Writing is something I enjoy so learning how to improve my writing makes me like it all the more. I have enjyed this class and I look forward to the next!

My Unfinished paper!!!

So far my paper is still not done! I am tired I have this paper to write as well as another paper the same length. I have been working very hard on my papers I am just worried I am going to get a bad grade. I have done my best I just know if I do not get a good grade I will not get an A in this class or my other class so I have been stresses out about it. I will just do the best I can. I strive for perfection which I shouldn't always do. I believe I am too hard on myself at times. I also make things seem harder than they really are. Writing papers is not fun but its definitely a learning experience and I always learn a lot from every paper I write. I need to just set down and stay there until I get all my papers done just so its out of my way and then hopefully I will not stress about it anymore. I know this paper I have learned a lot. I am excited for the week off!

My opinion about blogger

I really like the blog! It is a very good way to get to know other classmates. Also it lets me get my thoughts out there. I really like the blogger and I plan on keeping my account even after I am not required to. Anyone who would like to keep in contact or get to know me better feel free to read some of my blogs and send me a message. Blogger is very interesting and something I never knew about or done before. I have learned a lot about classmates by reading there posts. I have enjoyed getting to know everyone better! Honestly this is a good socialization for me because usually the only one I am with all day is my baby and she doesn't talk yet. It is a very nice opportunity to get in touch with others and things going on. Thanks everyone for reading. I wish everyone success and happiness. Happy New year.

Merry Christmas!!!

I am so happy about this Christmas! Christmas is now complete now that my daughter is here :) I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I hope the best new year for you! I know this new year I am going to change everything around! I am going to be more happy and love myself more and therefore making me a better mother. Life is too short to be sad all the time.

A sneak peak into my life!

My life is so different than I every imagined!!!! My life has been changed around forever for the better after giving birth to my beautiful daughter her name is Nyla she was born January 11, 2009 happiest day of my life. Life has been interesting and so much more complete and happy!! I do not feel complete without my daughter she is a more than welcomed member of my family. Its been hard though because I am a single mother , her daddy has never even tried to see her so I do it all alone but with the help of my parents. Being a parent is something I never thought I could do and now after its happened its something I would never take back; its the best thing ever! My daughter is my world and it comes natural to take good care of her. Challenges I have faced is not having any money but that's my choice because I feel she needs me in the beginning of life also I am still happily breastfeeding! I am still young only 19 so I get to grow up with Nyla. I feel like she teaches me more than I do her! She has taught me patients, love, compassion and to not be selfish. Before her I only wanted to party now thats the last thing on my mind. I love being a mother and strive to be the best I can be. I have been in college the whole time and taking care of my daughter. What works for me is to get all my work done when she goes to sleep that way she doesnt get neglected. Nap times and night time I usually am up late doing my work and thats k because I want to be successful and be a wonderful romodel to my daughter. I really enjoy being in school too it gives me time to myself. Life is different but I have the best life!!!!!

My new life as a Kaplan Student!

To me being a student has given me a better self image and a better self worth. I feel like I CAN DO IT! I feel happy knowing I am working for my education and making a better life for myself and my daughter. As well as knowing I will be more successful in my career I feel a sense of achievement for getting as far as I have when noboty thought I could even get my G.E.D. Surprise! I love my new life with my daughter and being a Kaplan student. Life is so much different ow than it was just two years ago. I strive to be the best person can be and I cannot wait to start helping other people when I start my new job. I am starting to build my relationship with god and I know this is the intended direction he wants my life to go. Being a Kaplan student is much more to me than just getting my degree. I enjoy learning and enjoy becoming a better person. Kaplan helps me do that.

All about plagiarism!

What are yout thoughts about plagiarism? My thought about plagiarism is I wouldn't want someone steling my thoughts and ideas so its very important to me to give others credit for what they write. APA format gives guidelines and directions for ow to correctly give others credit. Another thing APA does is help to find the information. For instance if you try to reference something giving the information in any way or order it may be hard to find. APA helps give direction. Plagiarism can get a college student or really anyone in serious trouble. If you print out a copy of someone's book and sell it you will be in trouble with the law. In college the same thing applies you can be kicked out of school or prosecuted. Its very important to give authors the credit they deserve!
